🍇 FUN FACT FRIDAY – MUSCADINE EDITION! 🍇

Did you know our favorite Southern grape isn't just delicious? Muscadines also pack some pretty impressive nutrition into every bite!

Here are a few quick facts:

🍇 They're Southern natives! Muscadines are native to the southeastern United States, so when you're enjoying fresh muscadines, you're enjoying a fruit that's truly at home here in North Carolina.

💪 Don't skip the skin! Muscadine skins are especially rich in beneficial plant compounds and are also a source of dietary fiber.

❤️ They're loaded with antioxidants. Muscadines contain polyphenols including ellagic acid and resveratrol, compounds studied for their antioxidant properties.

🌱 They're a good source of fiber. A ½-cup serving provides about 3.4 grams of fiber and is naturally fat-free, cholesterol-free and sodium-free.
