Never in the last 11+ years of owning goats have we ever had an issue with disbudding. Normally I do all the disbudding myself with great success but decided this year to take a few to our vet. After this little guy’s 1st disbudding on 3/18/26 by one of the vets in the office we noticed some horn growth that you can see in the 1st picture below. We know that sometimes It’s not uncommon to have some growth with bucklings so we decided to take him back on 4/9/26 and have him disbudded again. The second picture is of his 2nd disbudding done by the lead vet. Goodness what an ordeal that was when we brought him home. He managed to bump his head pretty good and had a short stay in the house for a week to monitor him closely and then he was able to return to the herd. After a few weeks of healing our vet came out to do a herd health check and blood draws on 4/29/26. He said he was looking fantastic and no new growth was seen. The last pic is of him today. He has knocked off his scabs and we are happy to report that he is healing beautifully with no horns or scurs visible. We are extremely grateful for our amazing vet and the care he provides for our herd. Will we continue to be clients of his? 1000% yes! He owns a herd of Nubians himself and we trust his knowledge and experience 110%. We try to do everything in our power to prevent scurs or horn growth from happening but we understand that growth can happen no matter who holds the iron. 😉

🟡OUR WAITING LISTS:
Our breeding plans are posted around the end of August. Once posted we ask everyone to PM us with their breeding pair picks that you are interested in getting a doeling or buckling from and we’ll be happy to add you to it. You may also choose a second breeding pair and so on.

The current breeding/kidding season posts will be pinned to the top of page so it can be easily viewed. Current waiting lists will be listed in the comments section under each breeding pairs picture. Just click on the individual pictures and view their comment sections to see current lists. There is a doeling waiting list and a buckling waiting list for each pairing. Once doelings and bucklings are born we usually notify potential buyers through messenger. If you prefer to be notified a different way please let us know how you would like to be contacted. We allow a 7 day grace period to hear from you. If we do not receive a response from the potential buyer within that time or a potential buyer decides to pass on their choice we will then move down the list and offer what is available to the next individual on the list. We will also have overflow waiting lists for each breeding pair. We can add you to the these overflow lists if the waiting lists are full. We’ve had a few buyers in the past that have passed on their choice so it is possible you could be contacted.

Spots fill up quickly so don’t wait! 😉

💵 PRICES and REGISTRATIONS:
Prices do vary for Doelings and Bucklings depending on their planned pedigrees only. We DO NOT increase our prices based on certain colors/spots/markings.
All kids come with a registration application. We WILL NOT decrease our price if you choose not to register.

📬RESERVATIONS/DEPOSITS and PICK-UP TIMES:
Once the kids are born we require a 💲5️⃣0️⃣ non refundable deposit to hold your reservation until weaning.
⭐️Deposits are only refundable if a reserved Buckling or Doeling is lost due to injury or illness while in our care.
Remaining balance will be due on the day of pickup.

We dam raise all our kids unless we need to intervene for certain circumstances where bottle raising is needed. Doelings are weaned at 12 weeks and Bucklings are weaned at 10 weeks. We will contact all buyers with reservations 2 weeks before weaning to make arrangements for pick up. All kids must be picked up by weaning date unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon in advance. If kids are not picked up by weaning date, they will start to accrue a weekly boarding fee of 💲5️⃣0️⃣ a week that will be added on to the remaining balance due at pick up.

📍As always we can not guarantee a certain gender or color. We reserve the right to retain any kid(s) born for herd replacement even if the pairing has a waiting list. Herd replacement does not apply to any reservations made once the deposits are received from buyers.

Feel free to message us with any additional questions you may have and we look forward to hearing from you!
