🐄💦 SIR LOIN OF SEMMES VS. THE WATER TROUGHS 💦🐄

At this point, we’re beginning to think Sir Loin of Semmes has declared WAR on water troughs. 😂

Every makeshift water trough we have put in his paddock has met the same unfortunate fate… BUSTED. BROKEN. DESTROYED. 💥

So we finally decided it was time to bring out the big guns. We bought a durable 50-gallon water trough that we are pretty confident Sir Loin cannot break. 💪

Well… apparently, we forgot to account for the fact that Sir Loin doesn’t have to BREAK it to defeat it. 🤦‍♀️😂

That big boy was able to EASILY FLIP THE ENTIRE TROUGHT OVER—even with a full 50 gallons of water in it!

For those keeping score at home:
💧 50 gallons of water
⚖️ Approx. 400 pounds of water
🐂 One extremely strong and determined Sir Loin of Semmes

🏆 Sir Loin: 4 | Mimi & Poppy: 0

We’re going to have to get creative with securing this thing because apparently Sir Loin has decided that anything placed in his paddock is simply a challenge.

Stay tuned… because this battle is far from over. 😳🐂💦

Sir Loin of Semmes: breaking things, flipping things, and keeping Mimi & Poppy on their toes since day one. 🤣

Why Poppy, Why?!?!?! 😤 He thinks of others and loves to share, but why couldn't he have kept this one thing, just this one thing, all to himself? 🤒🥶

He was down for a day and a half, then went back to working outside yesterday. I'm certainly hoping I can get over this as fast as he did.

We're three weeks into the school year and I'm already missing a day of school. NOT A GOOD START! 😟😔

😢😢 We will not be hosting an Open Gate Day this week.

Poppy has been a bit under the weather this week and we feel it best to not open up the homestead while he's down.

I'm sure he'll be better soon and we hope to open back up to the public next week, September 2nd.

Making my rounds around our fence line to see of there are any trees or limbs down across the fence after the storms we've had. So far there have just been small limbs.

Right now I'm on the back side of our property, the area we've left wooded. It has natural springs and they are just a flowing.

Sir Loin of Semmes, why must you always be getting into trouble???
