Took a little trip down to Grenada MS to compete in Thunder on the Water, once again it was a stacked field with plenty of heat, good times, and Whole Hogs! We were blessed with a double final day with a great Home Place Pastures Hog and Ramon's Meat Market Pork Butts! When the smoke cleared we were able to place:

1st Place Whole Hog
3rd Place Pulled Pork

It was always great to see all our friends and bbq family cooking that pork in the beautiful Grenada Square, BIG congrats to our friends and Tate County Neighbors Que N da 662 on a well deserved GC!!!!

GPiTS took their first trip down to the Delta to the Peavine Festival, while the weather was iffy, it didn’t stop our from taking care of Business! Shoutout to the wonderful organizers who always make sure these cooks in the MS delta are second to none!!! Our friends at came down and anchored our Friday turn ins capturing:
3rd Seafood
2nd Beans
2nd Dessert

Now down to Saturday business, the quality Hog gave us an amazing canvas and the kept our cookers steady all night that made us luck into Finals!!! Our final results were:

The road goes on forever and the party never ends!!! GPiTS took a little trip to the Big Easy to link up with and to form the NOLA based ! What a great group of like minded guys and gals that bond over their love of cooking and helping others at 4.3 MILLION Dollars raised !!With the help of our always consistent quality hog, we were able to Successfully defend last years Hog title!! Coupled with a solid 9th place Rib, and 12th place Pork Butt, we were able to land 4th overall in a field of 95 of the finest swine cookers in the land!! We couldn’t do this without our amazing supporters! See yall down the road!!

Took a little last minute trip down to Tylertown Ms, we will tell you, the town, locals, and volunteers at the South MS Boucherie are the BEST!! We felt like we were at home from the minute we got there!! We decided to continue or Mission and cooked Hog Only, in a STACKED field, we were rewarded as a finalist!!!! This turn into a hard fought 3rd place Whole Hog!! Congrats to all who heard their names!!! See yall down the road!!

But GPiTS took a trip up to Marion and started the year on a good note, with the quality of the hog, the efficiency of the , and the consistency of that we were able to luck into Finals and hammer down a 1st place Whole Hog!!!! GPiTS took the trip north to the BBQ Capital of Illinois, Murphysboro, for the famous Praise the Lard Contest. This contest was started by a pioneer of bbq, particularly Memphis style cooking, Mike Mills, while the Legend is no longer with us, his legacy and love of bbq is carried on by his Daughter, and the wonderful team at 17th St Barbecue. It was so awesome to see so many good friends we don’t see very often and meet new ones at this wonderful contest, we can’t wait to come back next year! GPiTS was on the outside looking into finals this weekend with a honorable 4th place Hog, 7th Place Shoulder, and 4th Place Rib! Big Congrats to on the MBN GC and everyone else that heard their names!! We could not do this without our wonderful supporters!! See y’all in Ruleville hunting Cypress!!
