What does this picture say to you?
To most you see a tray of white cross decorated cookies, very plain by today’s standards.
To my Cookie and Cake friends who look closer you may see cookie crosses that are not done quite to par. Edges a little rough and definitely plain white. No creativity here.
What I see/hear and feel in this picture is my daughter calling home over a month ago saying she was making some changes in her life. No more 9-5, no more stress, life means more than money or watching a time clock. The next phone call I got from her was Friday. She had found a homeless shelter where she and her husband will be serving 60 homeless families once a month. She said momma I just want to make sure they know they matter and they are loved. Then she called on Friday and asked can you just make me 60 simple white cookie crosses. Of course I told her I would and I would decorate them anyway she wanted. She said a simple white cross should say you are loved and never forgotten.

My mommy and daddy went to the Coca-Cola Museum today and all I got was T-shirt. Poor Max.
