When I booked the Salty All Day Band for Lavender Festivus this year, I made a random request. I asked the lead singer if she happened to know the song Wildflowers by Dolly Parton (as opposed to another fine tune of the same name by the late, great Tom Petty) She said she didn't, but she would check it out. With only 3 weeks to go, I kept my expectations low. Words can't describe how overjoyed I was when they began playing this song. Dolly Parton was an angel among us and I am utterly heartbroken by her passing. Thank you, Dina and Company, for bringing a bit of her magic to Purple Haze. 💗
