Denise’s Riverhouse Kitchen

Denise’s Riverhouse Kitchen We were previously a local Bistro and Bakery, that started as a home bakery and outgrew itself. Well good news!!

We are evolving to a page that supports culinary exploration and a little foodie inspired travel!!

Hi friends,

Just an update because so many people are asking.

Yes the “Riverhouse” is for sale.

This has been my home for 4 years and the inspiration behind the The Riverhouse Bistro and Bakery.

I am going to be moving out of Washington mainly for health reasons and my home needs a new family to love it.

If you would be willing to share the listing far and wide I would greatly appreciate it.

Also one last thank you to everyone for the great friendships, customers, employees and life that I have had here.

It’s been my honor to meet some really amazing loving people and I will miss all of you!

Does anyone need anything for Sunday July 12?

I already have one pie order so I can do a few more, I can do scones, or cinnamon rolls.

Everything I’m making can be frozen so you can bake when you want or I can bake them.

Current options are basically any flavor scones but I can only do orders of 8

Raspberry rhubarb

Strawberry rhubarb

Triple berry

Apple

Possibly peach

Cinnamon rolls either 6 or 12 (or more)
Plain or pecan available

I’m going to attempt carrot cake next week, so I will keep you posted.

Here is a picture of my pie crust and blackberry pie 🙂 (and no I couldn’t eat the whole piece 🤣)

Oh man!! My oven was so nice to me today!!Best looking pie ever and the smell!!

I just bought a bucket of tiny wild blackberries at graymarsh.

Pricey for sure but growing up my aunt would pay us kids to pick them so I totally understand the cost.
We called the berries black gold because to pick 6 cups or 8 cups for a pie was an all day affair (we picked in the logged off area on old Hansville road)

My grandma who taught me to bake and make jam made the best pies with them, it was always a VERY special treat that was highly fought over. (You also used to be able to get little cobblers at Anthony’s for like $10 I think, I will still order one every single time 🤣)

I can make a pie if anyone wants one, but I’m just going to tell you it will be a lot more than $21, worth every single bite warm with ice cream!

I probably have enough for 3 pies at most, I can buy more possibly tomorrow or Monday if I run out, it will totally depend on the farm.

Last call for raspberry jam for this week.

I was also thinking I could make scones and a few U-bake pies.

For pies I can make the following $21 each:

strawberry rhubarb
raspberry rhubarb
cherry (from MY orchard)
triple berry

Scones:
Blueberry
Lavender
Buttermilk (goes great with you jam)
White chocolate raspberry

My oven here at my house SUCKS with a capital “SUCK” but I can definitely prep them and even bake them if you want. (I think honestly I’m just spoiled with having professional ovens 🤣).

We are back to the parking lot people!

I’m going to have to change the groups name so people don’t think the restaurant is still running..

I’m thinking either Denise’s Riverhouse kitchen

Or

Denise parking lot people’s bakery

What do you all think?
