Hunters Moon Meadery Hunters Moon Meadery is owned by Greg and Kim Bowdish. TOURS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Behind private home Meadery - Place where Mead is made. Tastings are $3 each.

Mead - most people describe it as "Honey Wine" but it is SO MUCH MORE ! You just have to try it and experience it for yourself :)
We are a very small, family owned Meadery. We involve the whole family in the production of Mead, including our 2 1/2 year old Grandson who loves to stick his finger in the honeycomb when we are extracting honey from the hives. It is a real HANDS ON Business. We are proud to offer Meads that our made ONLY with honey from our very own beehives. Currently we have 51 hives in 5 different bee yards around our area. We brew in small batches of 15 to 160 gallons, and only add the finest fruits or spices we can find. We are passionate and use patience to put out Meads that we can be proud of, AND win International Medals with :)
First of our meads on the Shelf November 6, 2011. Currently we carry Mountain Berry Melomel - A Wild Huckleberry/Chokecherry Blend,
Lunar Lemon Melomel - An Organic Lemon Mead,
Kim's Clove Metheglin - A Clove spiced Mead that is also great served heated! and Touch of Gold - our newest Mead which is made with Saffron spice, the most
expensive spice in the World! Our 2011 oak aged mead, Trappers Cask is aged in a Chardonnay Barrel and there is only 2 1/2 cases of 375ml bottles remaining. Earl Greg - infused with Earl Grey Tea and Howling Moon - Jamaican Coffee Mead. Prospector Peach Mead - made with famous Palisade,Colorado Peaches, Moon Dance Cherry - made with Montana Bing Cherries & Kona Mikala-sweet Kona Coffee Mead. Earl Greg, Trappers Cask & Mountain Berry(sweet version) are all SILVER INTERNATIONAL MEDAL winners! Howling Moon is a BRONZE INTERNATIONAL MEDAL winner! We are mainly a Production Facility but offer Private Tours/Tastings by appointment only! We are 6 miles East off of I-25 from the Fort Collins HARMONY EAST Exit. Our Meadery is located behind our house. We do not have Set Hours, just give us
call and a bit of notice and we can accommodate you with a Tour/Tasting!

TOMORROW is the day!! HalloW**e Festival in Johnstown! It's a smaller fun event. Great music and yummy food trucks! The BEST vendors Dress Up! (hint, hint) We will be bringing you a GROOVY selection of 10 Meads!! ALL of our Meads will be marked down in price as well! BARGAIN DAY!
It's one of the cheaper W**e Festivals as well! $30 & Up for tickets. 11a.m - 5p.m.! Looks like it will be a beautiful day as well for Day Sipping! Hope to see you there! Maybe you will win the Costume Contest! Photo included so that you can find our tent!
