Erbe Casalinghe translates roughly to herbs of the home, and there is something almost perfect about how little explanation that needs. It speaks to the Italy found beyond restaurant menus, where dinner grows from habit, memory, and whatever has always belonged within reach of the stove. Vör’s Erbe Casalinghe carries that quiet confidence, settling into food with the kind of fresh, savory warmth that makes the kitchen smell familiar even when the recipe is new. Nothing about it feels dressed for company, yet that is exactly why it earns its place in the cabinet; this is the jar for making an ordinary meal feel as though it came from a home where someone has been cooking the same way for generations.

Vör understood the value of knowledge that does not need to announce itself. She was associated with wisdom, awareness, and the quiet understanding of things already known in the heart, which makes her a natural keeper for a blend built around the same kind of inherited instinct. “Herbs of the home” is less a recipe than a memory passed from one kitchen to the next, changing slightly with every pair of hands while never losing the feeling that it belongs there. Vör does not bring Italy to the table through spectacle; she brings the feeling that the table has known these flavors all along.

You’ve seen the jars.
You’ve seen the gods.
You’ve probably even stopped scrolling long enough to wonder what the hell some of these flavors actually taste like.
So quit wondering.
Every god has a land. Every land has a taste. Every jar is built to take the food you already make and send it somewhere completely different.
Pick one. Pick five. Start collecting them like the rest of us apparently do now.

The first thing a fajita does is announce itself. Long before the skillet reaches the table, you hear the hiss, catch the smoke, and turn your head because dinner suddenly sounds like it has weather of its own. That spectacle grew from much humbler South Texas ranch country, where vaqueros cooked skirt steak over open fire and turned a tough, overlooked cut into something worth remembering. Thor’s Fajita was built to carry both sides of that story: the old campfire and the modern cast-iron thunder, with a deep roasted warmth that makes everyday food feel like it deserves to arrive sizzling. You do not keep Thor in the cabinet because you make fajitas every week; you keep him there because sometimes dinner needs to make an entrance.

Thor hardly needed convincing. His stories begin with thunder rolling across the sky, while fajitas somehow turned a humble ranch meal into one that announces itself across an entire dining room. The connection lives in that moment when heat meets iron and everything wakes up at once. Thor does not need to drown the meal in fire or chase punishing heat; his strength is the bold, smoky character that remains after the noise settles. The skillet may eventually go quiet, but if Thor did his job, nobody at the table will.

Ras el Hanout loosely translates to “top of the shop,” but its meaning reaches far beyond a simple name. Across Morocco, spice merchants and families built their own versions from the flavors they valued most, each blend carrying a little pride from the place and people that created it. For Bragi, we wanted to capture that old-market spirit: shelves crowded with spices, open sacks filling the air with aroma, and merchants reaching for the best of what they had to offer. Rather than chasing one definitive recipe, Bragi became a gathering of those traditions, reflecting the combined character of Ras el Hanout blends found throughout Morocco.

The first impression is deep, warm, and fragrant, with layers that seem to unfold the longer they sit on the tongue. Earthy richness gives the blend its foundation while sweeter, warmer tones rise through it, followed by a gentle peppery edge that keeps everything alive. Nothing is meant to stand alone; each flavor lends something to the next, creating the kind of complexity that feels less like a formula and more like walking through an old Moroccan spice market. Bragi carries that market home, bringing with him the warmth, depth, and pride of a blend meant to represent the very best a spice merchant could place on his counter.

Bragi was the god of poetry and eloquence, a keeper of stories whose strength came not from the sword, but from the words that outlived it. That made him a natural companion for a tradition where every merchant, family, and region could tell the same story in a slightly different voice. Like verses gathered from across Morocco, those individual expressions became something greater when brought together, each carrying the pride of the hands that shaped it. Bragi was chosen because Ras el Hanout does not speak with one voice; it is a chorus of many, carrying the harmony of Morocco through the generations.

Puligi did not begin as a seasoning at all. It began as a molasses cake. A dark, deeply spiced part of Samoan baking whose recipes have moved through families, each generation learning from the hands before them and eventually leaving a little of themselves behind. That was the part Skeids wanted to understand: not simply which spices went into Puligi, but what happened after the mixing bowl was put away and time, heat, and tradition finished the recipe.

For those who have never known Puligi, imagine the comfort of an old-fashioned molasses cake while the kitchen is still warm around it. The sweetness is dark rather than sugary, surrounded by a deep spice that seems to settle into the cake instead of sitting on top of it. There is something soft and familiar about that warmth, the kind of flavor that feels as though someone has been making it for you your entire life, even if this is the first time you have tasted it. That was the feeling we wanted Geirrod to carry beyond the cake: not simply sweetness and spice, but the comfort that remains after the last piece is gone.

So we baked the cakes. We tasted them, changed them, baked them again, and slowly worked backward from the finished Puligi until we could separate the memory of the cake from the cake itself. Geirrod’s Puligi became the result: the warmth and depth of that old kitchen tradition pulled from the dessert and given a new life as a dry blend. It still carries the feeling of dark sweetness and slow-building spice, but it no longer has to wait for someone to make a cake before it can leave the jar. In a strange way, we did not create a seasoning inspired by Puligi; we allowed Puligi to travel beyond a baked good.

Somewhere in that transformation, Geirrod found his place. There is weight to his old story, a giant remembered through strength, blazing halls, and heat powerful enough to turn iron into part of the tale. Puligi carries a different kind of warmth, but one just as difficult to separate from its identity. Geirrod belongs here because this blend was never meant to imitate the cake from a distance. It was meant to carry the fire that gave the cake its soul.

Tempero Baiano feels less like a recipe and more like a Bahia dinner table already in motion. There is warmth everywhere, something savory in the air, people talking over one another, and another plate somehow finding room even though the table looked full five minutes ago. That vibrancy is what pulled Skeids toward it. F***g was never meant to sit quietly on the edge of Brazilian cooking; she belongs where food becomes a gathering, where the meal keeps growing because somebody else just walked through the door, and where strangers become friends because there was one more story to share.

Her flavor moves the same way. Nothing arrives alone or demands that you stop and admire it. One moment feels warm, another earthy, another carries just enough brightness to wake everything around it, and before long they have folded themselves into whatever was already cooking. Put F***g's Tempero Baiano near the smoke and heavy cuts of a Brazilian steakhouse and somehow it feels as if it has been there all evening, waiting for someone to pass it around the table.

This is where F***g belongs most naturally. She carries the spirit of home, family, and the quiet strength that keeps a gathering from becoming merely a room full of people. Tempero Baiano has that same gift. It does not need to become the center of the meal to make the whole table feel more alive.
