Couldn’t let the day go by without wishing the U.S. Navy a happy 251st. First Navy bday on this side of the aisle. Miss my shipmates but happy to be on to the next chapter of life and baking!

**Extremely grateful and surprised by the reach of this simple post. I want to clarify that I retired after 25 years as a CTICM…not a YNCM. The Pasadena Business Association’s 30th annual Harvest For The Hungry Caring & Sharing Food Drive is officially underway! Now through November 1, you can donate nonperishable food items at designated PBA member locations, including:

📍 Chick-fil-A Jacobsville
📍 Galilee Lutheran Church, Pasadena, MD
📍 AA Co Lawn and Garden

Following our Caring & Sharing Parade on Sunday, November 1, all collected food will be distributed to local food pantries to help support families in our community.

Pumpkin spice swirl is back at Fishpaws. If you love peanut butter, go get a slice of peanut butter cup! Peanut butter batter with bites of mini peanut butter cups on a chocolate cookie crust topped with chocolate ganache and peanut butter buttercream frosting. 😋

New flavor this week at Fishpaws Marketplace. Maple pecan. Maple cheesecake with a layer of crushed pecans in between sits on a graham cracker crust. Topped with a maple glaze and candied pecans. Get yourself a slice this evening!

Contemplated making a video but felt this message was better via a post. This post is to answer the #1 question I get…so what is a shared commercial kitchen OR so why don’t you just make this at home?

Cottage food laws limit what you are able make in your home. Cream cheese is a no-no. Want to make buttercream frosting, cool. Cream cheese frosting? Nope. So cheesecake is out of the question in Maryland. You need a commercial kitchen. Maryland Dept of Health inspects and requires safety measures.

The Severna Park Commercial Kitchen, my kitchen home, is a shared space. There are so many talented people in various stages along their entrepreneurial journey working here. I rent space here and make every cheesecake by hand with love. You can order directly through me via email, phone, and social media. Even though I am not here every day, I accommodate my customers and meet at the kitchen for pickups.

☘️ RAIN OR SHINE — THE CORN-HOOLEY IS ON!

We’re keeping an eye on Sunday’s forecast, but as anyone in Maryland knows, the forecast can change right up until the day arrives!

Here’s what you need to know: The Corn-Hooley is an ALL-WEATHER EVENT and will go on as scheduled Sunday from 12–6 PM.

If weather does affect us, some outdoor activities may be adjusted or paused as needed. Co****le will keep rolling — we’ll move games INSIDE the hall if necessary.

So don’t change those Sunday plans based on the forecast. We’ll be there, and we hope you will too!
