Hay season 2026 is underway at BRCC. The weather looks dry for a few days so we are getting a start on it. We cut some great looking feed today. Thankful and blessed to have the spring moisture to grow some great grass!

BRCC Symmetry 4727 is ready for spring breeding season! At 20 months, old we are really impressed with his added length of spine and overall stoutness. His maternal foundation is built on the pathfinder donor dam Musgrave Blkcap McHenry 1800 who has done an excellent job of transmitting length and mass to her offspring. He was a feature in our spring 26 production sale where he sold to our great friends and partners at Fangrow Farm. He is a flush mate brother to the top seller, BRCC Headwaters 4735, who is working in the Capitol Angus and Zumbrunnen Angus herds. Another brother, BRCC Symmetry 4719, is working at 2S Angus! These brothers made an impressive flush and we look forward to their progeny!

We were excited to get an update on BRCC Triumph 1660 from our good friends and neighbors at Campbell Ranch. The Campbell family are one of the leading land and cattle operations in our county. He is a coming 5 year old sire from our Miss Beauty cow family that is doing a great job. It’s our goal to provide value to our customers with each bull we sell!

Check out our upcoming ad featured in the Missouri Angus Trails May edition. We are excited to add these young sires into the BRCC herd sire battery. They encompass what we aim to produce at Buck Ridge and we believe they will sire cattle that excel for our commercial cattleman customers. All 4 sires bring a strong maternal presence with proven matriarchs on the bottom of the pedigree that will influence our cowherd for years to come.

BRCC Craftsman 4693 sure knows how to catch our eye in the pasture. We stopped the truck and zoomed the camera in through the brush to get this shot! At 20 months old, he exhibits added muscle shape and exceptional hair shedding in an ideal frame size. He is backed by our foundation donor, Musgrave Lady Barbara 212. His first calf crop will start dropping in late August!

It has been a wet and cloudy day around BRCC. We are very thankful for the rain! Today was spent moving females closer to the corrals for a final preg check and vaccinations. These bred heifers looked great on green grass! We are a strictly fall calving herd so all opens (with no exceptions) will soon find a new zip code!

The fall bred BRCC heifers were happy to see some new pasture! Spring is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the land and cattle. We have been busy delivering bulls, weaning calves, and final preg checks of the cow herd!

We are very thankful for another great spring production sale at Buck Ridge! Thank you to all the buyers, bidders, and attendees. Our family is very thankful to get the opportunity to work with such great customers! Sale day would not be possible without the extra help of all our friends and family who come help us put on the event. We are excited to get these BRCC bulls delivered and watch them go to work this spring.
