On Thursday, our lives changed in an instant. My dad, Steve, suffered a devastating widow-maker heart attack. At just 60 years old, he still has so much life to live.
If you know Steve, you know the kind of man he is. He has always been a hardworking family man with a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He loves his family, his friends, his Chihuahuas, golfing, and simply enjoying life.
Because his heart has been damaged significantly, he was flown to UVA due to the severity of his heart attack and the need for specialized cardiac care. As our family stays by his side, we're facing unexpected expenses for travel, meals, lodging, missed work, and any future endeavors.
