It’s been about 6 years since I have built anything intricate. It may only be shop furniture but using materials laying around and bringing my skills back to life is so rewarding. This took about 5 days to build but I had a lot going on under the hood. I am very happy how it turned out and the space it is utilizing under my drill press. Starting 2026 back in the shop to be.

The unsquare rectangle butcher block cutting board is done. Lots of cutting, gluing, and clamping over and over for this result. To be fair this was a scrap piece of countertop turned into a useful item and gets it off the floor.

Made this nautical themed shelf for our bathroom. Themed after older style boat with brass accents.

Butcher block for my beer making station is all glued up. Now enjoying the incineration of all the rip cut strips.

This IKEA mirror got a second life with some driftwood from the Chesapeake bay! We had been planning to do this for a while but just did not have time. We got the idea from a lamp at a model home from a builder. It’s amazing what you can create just with spotting something in your travels.

Took about a week but yielded about 16 boards from the tree. Only 6 feet long but hey they were free! Beautiful ambrosia curvy birdseye maple on a piece or two.

Working on shop organization for my woodworking and detailing. This came out exactly as planned. No drawing just measuring and free cutting. Tested out OSMO but not impressed. Did not darken or add any texture to the wood.

This Bailey #7 was definitely in rough shape. After restoring it came out pretty nice considering all the pitting. Going to try and sharpen the current blade but it most likely will need to be replaced. for making great products!

First strop I have ever made! Enjoyed making this for a friend of mine. Black walnut with some sapwood as an accent.

Finished this beautiful bench! Haven’t built a design like this before but it was fun to continue my cabinet making skills. Thank you to the for supplying some of the best products!

I am now calling my business Nauti Bay Woodworking! After some thought I wanted something that aligns with my passions. A fresh start for 2021!
