2026 North American Barley Crop Report

There is good barley across North America. Due to weather, harvest timing, and other factors, there is also greater variability than headline production numbers suggest. Our work is to know the difference, and to turn the right barley into malt worthy of the brewers who trust us with their b**r.

LAST CALL FOR ENTRIES! Brewer Exchange Program: Japan 2027

Does international b**r travel arouse your interest? Is your passport up to date? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to collaborate with a Japanese brewer on a recipe featuring Rahr Malt. The b**r you brew together will be poured at the Japan Brewers Cup in Tokyo and at CBC 2027 in San Antonio.

Our team was thrilled to join the Arbeiter Brewing crew for a recent collaboration brew. The doughnuts were fresh, the pizza was hot, and the b**rs were cold and crisp. We can’t wait to head back when MPLS PILS is ready for prime time.

Malted Barley → Delicious B**r → Spent Grain → Farm Feed → Smashburgers with Friends

Last week our pals from Unmapped Brewing visited the Shakopee warehouse for lunch. They treated the team to smashburgers that came from cattle who were fed on spent RahrBSG grain. It was a delicious break from work for everyone, and a great reminder that strong relationships — not spreadsheets — are what this business is all about.
