So, we have a neighbor who caused some havoc on Sunday night / early Monday morning. This huge bear had helped himself to a buffet out of my dumpster despite the bear locks. He also tossed my outdoor grease trap into the driveway, what a mess! He must have thoroughly enjoyed himself because he was back waiting for me when I got in this morning.

He was probably coming back to tell me he was having trouble leaving me a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google review because he does not have opposable thumbs!

Our daily lunch entree for Tuesday, 13 October will be Gnocchi Alla Vodka with a side salad. This was on the menu for Friday, but Hurricane Isaias made alternate lunch plans for us that day. Better late than never! The soup of the day will be Chicken Noodle.

My purveyors are working hard to get us restocked! We might be back to our regularly scheduled programming on Wednesday!

We will be open this week for lunch beginning at 11am on Monday. Our published menu will be adjusted daily accordingly, based on product availability as we restock We lost our walk in cooler and all fresh product in the storm. I was fortunate to be able to save, cook and serve what we could yesterday for our residents before we lost it all.

We may be operating like we are competing in an episode of "Chopped" but I promise to do my best with our "mystery basket ingredients" until our purveyors can get us restocked.

Please be patient, we are in this together. It is a blessing everyone is safe and the damage was not far worse!
