It’s Harvest Fest this weekend in Sharon Springs, NY and days before the Autumnal Equinox.

Slate Hill Lavender Farm is again excited to once again be a part of this great event! As always, it’s the perfect way to welcome fall and savor the season!

Join us Saturday & Sunday for live music, shopping, kids’ activities, b**r, and an amazing collection of vendors—all set in the historic village of Sharon Springs.

I love moments on the farm like these. A flower duet is happening creating a sea of blooms, while the crickets add their own accompaniment. Together, they make the sweetest mid August harmony.

One thing about having a farm is realizing that you grow more than just flowers on a farm.

It’s hard to believe that Ava first started working with us at just 13 years old, well “almost” 14. She may have been a little creative about her age and eager to work when she first came to us, but she quickly became an important part of our farm.

Over the years, she’s done a little bit of everything, always saying “of course” when asked— cutting lavender and flowers, weeding, watering, pruning, preparing the fields for winter; making bouquets for our dried floral shop and helping customers with her sweet smile.

We’ve had the joy of watching her grow, learn, work hard, and see her become the confident young woman she is today. Ava has truly become part of our farm family, and we’re going to miss seeing her at Slate Hill Lavender Farm.

We’re so proud of her and her achievements, and excited for her next chapter. Wishing you all the best at college — and thank you for all the years of dedication, hard work, giggles, smiles and memories.

We’ll miss you! 💜
