Tranquil Cemetery. Developers have purchased the property and the county is aware of it and trying to preserve it. J N is Joe North, a former slave who was well thought of in the community so much that a marble marker was purchased for his grave. The marker was broken by a tree and the top part has not been located.

We were recently at a cemetery in Heard County and found military graves as well as a large rock grave covering about 9 children. It is highly unusual to find rocks marking a grave still standing. Most have been moved for planting or other farming.

On a recent trip to Antwerp, Belgium, we stopped in at a church and dowsed!There were graves underneath the church as well as around the outside!

Mingus Mill is located near Cherokee, North Carolina. The mill was built in 1886 and used a water powered turbine instead of a wheel.
