Have you been to the Hungry Hut in Shaver Lake?!? If not, it’s a must! Their chicken sandwich is delicious! Milkshakes are a must with it! (Fun Fact: Calories don’t count in the mountains!) Also, did you know that when you support small businesses, those businesses help support us! Petunia, Goaty, Tiny, Sparkles, and Sky want to thank the Hungry Hut for suppling them weekly with veggies leftover! It’s their favorite. Now, if Petunia and Goaty can just work on personal space and neediness!!

Sometimes you do all that you can…misters, fans, air-conditioners (because yayyy solar), shade…and it still isn’t enough! This heat wave hit us really hard today! It was only about two hours between checking and we lost about 15 birds in that time. And honestly, I quit counting until bedtime, because have you ever had to have an animal funeral in this weather?? Let alone 15!! Let me tell you, it’s an entire process. The processional alone takes an hour!!! Of course, it’s most of the favorites too, so that adds time! The final count will have to be done after bedtime. 😭 Therefore, egg and chicken orders may not all be able to be met at this time. Thank you for understanding and patience!

Hi Bella Vista Friends! Our mom loved having chickens living there and secretly knows that plenty of other of neighbors do as well so she figured she would offer us lovely, quiet ones to you! We are all so lovely and friendly! We are used to the feral children talking to us and holding us all day!! However, our children were soooo good at hatching us, that there were so many of us! There are only a few of us left, however, my mom is still losing her absolute ISH’ so we must go too! We are frizzles, polish, naked necks, or a combination! We are 3-4.5 months old and she’s selling us (how dare her) for $10-$15 dollars! Since we love company, our mom will not let you leave with just one of us! We can be picked up weekdays after 8:00pm or on weekends. The children do not want us to leave, so do us (and our mom) a favor and don’t share in your joy about us with them. She’s got enough whining going on (mostly from herself)!! Aren’t we absolutely beautiful though?!?

What an egg-cellent view!!

To my egg customers: Shout out to the hubs that delivered these beauties to you yesterday! This week was another one for the books. I unexpectedly need to have surgery much sooner than later. Sooner, as in, 2 days!! 😶 I am having a few organs put back in their original locations and am told it will be about six weeks. We will continue egg deliveries and are still aiming between 9:00-10:00. I greatly appreciate your patience while our village learns about our egg-onomics and the route!

Holiday delivery schedule:

Saturday Morning- 12/24 delivery 9:00-10:00
Monday Morning- 1/2 9:00-10:00

Regular Sunday morning deliveries will resume on Sunday, January 8th!

Also, eggs will be increased to $6 a dozen.

When I first started this adventure, feed was $11 a bag, now it just cost us $23 a bag. I apologize to add more to the ever growing increases! However, with deliveries added, in order to continue this little side business, I need to increase prices as well.

But check out this Christmas magic! We help the chicken, and the costs, but giving them any and all table scraps! All of these eggs are from our chickens. Including the massive one at the top.
