To the gentleman who purchased a Starthistle honeybear. You left your man scent soap behind.
This man scent soap will leave your skin not only silky smooth. Even sooth dry cracked skin and smooth out the rough patches, but will also leave you refreshed with a masculine scent of black spruce with a hint of anise. I dare you to give it a try. 🐐

Our Story

Welcome to our page! Thank you for taking the time to read our story! My name is Lorraine Ballbach. We are Hobby Bee Keepers. My husband John is the main bee keeper. John has been working with bees for over 40 yrs, His Parents John and Rae Ballbach were in the bee business running 600 hives! I help out in the field when needed for queen checking, feeding in fall, winter and spring, supering hives, installing queens etc., otherwise, my husband john is usually working the bees. He has awesome knowledge and experience with bees, nature and farming. He grew up a farmer in Port Washington WI. Got into tool making. It wasn’t until we were dating 1998 that we had a hive of our own and helped his father with his bees. In 2009, I quit my job in Hospice due to stress. I thought great! I'm done working! Right?...Wrong. I sat home for about 3 months then, realized I missed working. So, I made a list of things to do. To keep me busy. Bee keeping was one of them. Talked it over with my hubby. We decided to sell raw local honey to get me out of the house. I researched raw honey. How to sell and market it. We bought 12 hives the following spring! We have been selling our honey at local farmers markets and festivals ever since the summer of 2010! I have to say , I received most of all of my info from our awesome customers and fellow vendors once we started selling. Since then, On Oct 1,2018 we moved from our home of 19 yrs in Random Lake, WI. To our Honey farm at W9790 Thurner Ln, Gresham, WI. We still have our hives located in Sheboygan and Ozaukee counties. We have expanded into Shawano county as well. All our products are all made by hand. You can visit our page to see which event we will be at next and when to come and visit our Honey Farm. Please like and share our page. We look forward in meeting new people and seeing familiar faces! Thank you to all who make this page and our Hobby possible!

We carry different varieties of Honey: Basswood, Clover and Summer Blend are local. Star Thistle is non local. Basswood has a light minty after taste. Clover is traditional tasting. Summer Blend is a mixture of everything the bees collected for the whole summer. Light summer tasting and Starthistle, which is Carmel tasting.
