Meet GENEX Council Director Joe Zug, a second-generation farmer who dairies with his parents, brother, wife Kristina and their two daughters in Pennsylvania. Joe manages the dairy, where they milk 1,200 Holsteins, and his brother manages the 1,400 acres of crop land.

Every genetic decision Joe makes has a purpose. All Holstein heifers are genomic tested, and he uses a combination of GENEX GenChoice sexed semen and IVF to accelerate progress from their best females, while breeding the lower 70% of the herd to GENEX Angus sires.

Elected in spring 2026, Joe brings an Eastern U.S. producer’s perspective and a practical, results-driven approach to the GENEX council. He believes genetics is an important tool for improving herd profitability and that producer experience should help guide cooperative decisions for the future.

Some of the most important work on a farm isn’t measured in days or years. It’s measured in generations.

This Co-op Month, we’re celebrating the member-owners whose dedication today leaves a lasting impact on their farms and herds and creates opportunities for generations to come.

Our members lead from the farm to the industry. 🌟

Two outstanding examples of GENEX cooperative leadership deserve recognition!

👏 Congratulations to Alicia Lamb and the Oakfield Corners Dairy team on being named the 2026 Dairy Producers of the Year at World Dairy Expo. As a GENEX delegate, Alicia brings her producer perspective and leadership to our cooperative.

👏 Congratulations to Casey Dugan, GENEX Council Director, on his appointment to the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board. Casey continues to bring the voice of dairy farmers to an even bigger table.

That’s the power of a cooperative: farmers leading, representing farmers and helping move our industry forward.

We’re proud to have Alicia and Casey helping shape the future of GENEX and dairy. 💙🐄

Some of the most important work in the world happens before most people are awake.

It's caring for calves on cold mornings. Checking cows one last time before bed. Showing up every day, no matter the weather, because your animals depend on you.

This National Farmers Day, we're celebrating the dairy families whose commitment, grit and heart make our industry stronger.

Thank you for all you do. Your impact reaches far beyond the farm gate.

❤️ Happy National Farmers Day from all of us at GENEX.

Every day brings decisions that shape what comes next. The cattle you breed. The herd you build. The future you’re creating for the next generation.

This Cooperative Month, we’re celebrating the producers who keep looking ahead and making decisions that strengthen their herds, businesses and legacies.

For Farmers. For Herds. For Generations.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
