Hey folks, we just want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all your support this season. We know it's been a tough season for everyone - the loss of our beloved mares, the intense thrush and repeated founders of our 3 great boys, the never-ending chicken drama and now the heat wave!! No farmer has ever claimed farming is easy!! We are going to consider opening up fall riding this year in an effort to make up for it. Please message privately if you are interested in this as an option. Next year will be here before we know it and this difficult life season will be behind us. :) Ecclesiastes 3:1

It is with heavy hearts that we are going to delay our opening for riding lessons this year. As many of you know, we suffered the great loss of our two beautiful mares this winter. Sassy and Blue were an amazing part of our family, and as reliable as they come for us, and our hearts still break with their loss. They had beautiful, amazing, and ridiculously spoiled, long lives here. Many of our families have more advanced riders and take lessons as families with us because of the variety of horses we offer. Without our beginner rider horses it is a challenge to schedule everyone. In this barn, our horses are not just interchangeable machines, and they cannot just be replaced because they are gone. We will grow our horse family again with beginner rider horses when the right horse comes along, and the time is right. We are going to take this time and let our barn continue to heal from this loss and will be announcing the plan ahead for lesson availability as we come into the summer. Thank you all for your understanding as we navigate this unexpected and difficult time.

Koch Farms
RAW, NATURALLY COMPOSTED,
HORSE MANURE
This bag of horse poo can do all sorts of awesome things for your plants! Also, it’s composted – so it’s not going to smell bad, but let’s just say it doesn’t smell great either. Unless you’re into earthy, barn and horse manure smell… We recommend storing it wherever you normally store fertilizer products.
Some suggestions on how to use composted manure:
- Spread directly onto garden beds or planted areas. Make it even – don’t clump it a whole lot.
- Use at the end or beginning of planting season to revitalize soils.
- Make Manure tea – add the manure to a barrel of water and leave for a couple weeks or more to manure. Just add 1 – 2 inches to the bottom of a water can and fill can with water to feed your plants twice a week. Pro tip – this is great for fruiting plants like tomatoes!

A Basic Warning: This package contains raw naturally composted horse manure. Always wash your hands after using! (Even if you wore gloves – don’t be gross!) This manure comes straight from the compost pile at our horse farm (no wood chips) and is in no way tested for any chemicals or treated for any potential bugs or parasites… so use it at your own risk. Try not to put it directly onto fruits or veggies you are planning to eat later – and make sure you always clean those good if you have been using manure in your beds. Results of use are not guaranteed. Koch Farms accepts no liability for the use of the product.

5lb bag $17.00, 1lb bag: $4.00
