🌿 TICKS: THE TINY HITCHHIKERS YOU NEVER SAW COMING 🕷️

Most people still believe ticks fall from trees…

They don’t. ❌🌳
They can’t jump.
They can’t fly.
And they’re not dropping from branches above your head.

Ticks climb grass and low vegetation — usually ankle to knee height — and wait with their front legs stretched out, sensing:

✔️ Body heat
✔️ Carbon dioxide from your breath
✔️ Movement & vibration

The moment you brush by… they grab on.

Then they start climbing. Slowly. Sometimes for HOURS.

That tick behind your ear? On your neck? In your hairline?

It likely started near your boots. 👢

🌿 TICK SMART TIPS:

✔️ Tuck pants into socks
✔️ Use permethrin on boots & pant legs
✔️ Apply DEET or picaridin to exposed skin
✔️ Do a full tick check after every outing
✔️ Check: behind ears, waistband, armpits, scalp, knees
✔️ Stay on mowed paths when possible
✔️ Watch trail edges & fence lines — ticks love transition zones

There’s something healing about sinking your hands into Mother Nature’s soil. Not gloves. Not screens. Not distractions. Just earth beneath your fingertips and a reminder of where life begins.

The soil teaches patience.
Seeds teach faith.
Gardens teach gratitude.

Every time I plant something, I’m reminded that growth starts underground — in the unseen work, in the messy moments, and in the dirt. 🌿✨

We spend so much time disconnected from nature when sometimes the medicine is simple: step outside, breathe deeply, plant something, and reconnect with the earth that sustains us.

Say hello to our newest Nigerian Dwarf boys:

🐐 Colin – the handsome spotted explorer with those unforgettable blue eyes
🐐 Gregory – tiny but full of curiosity and attitude
🐐 Brimsley – already walking around like he owns the farm

These boys may be small, but they’re bringing BIG personality to Wild Roots Farm. They’re part of a growing dream centered around sustainability, healing, animal connection, and reconnecting people with nature. 🌱💛

Future plans? Goat cuddles, educational experiences, animal therapy, and maybe even goat yoga. This farm is growing one hoofprint at a time.
