Good Gravy is a Burlington, Vermont bluegrass trio bringing a fresh take to the traditional sound. Spend this Sunday evening, 8/23 from 6-8PM, at the vineyard listening to their playful edge on a classic rhythm.

Built around musicians Joe Agnello, Jeff Wilson, and Jack Vignone, the band blends tight picking, rich harmonies, and an easygoing energy that keeps classic bluegrass feeling alive.

Joe Agnello — Burlington guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter known for his work across rock, jam, bluegrass, and the Grateful Dead scene. A founding member of Good Gravy, he brings a more improvisational, modern edge to the trio.

Jeff Wilson — Burlington multi-instrumentalist and longtime player, bringing the traditional string-band foundation and deep bluegrass soul to Good Gravy.

Jack Vignone — Burlington bassist and versatile live musician, also known for his work with Zach Nugent’s Dead Set, Swimmer, and other local projects.

Together, Good Gravy blends their backgrounds in Burlington’s jam, Americana, and roots-music scene with a genuine love for traditional bluegrass—from Tony Rice and Norman Blake to Doc Watson.

Ken, passionate and ambitious as always, has spent much of the summer bringing two rows of vines back to life along Route 7. He’s made it a personal mission to give travelers a little glimpse into what we do here as they pass by and, perhaps, a reason to stop in and stay awhile.

He has tended to them with much care and patience despite such hot and humid Vermont weather. Our founder can usually be spotted running circles around the rest of us if you look out far enough.

Ken tends to come and go quietly, so I just happened to catch him during a few of his visits to document some history. A pioneer of Vermont wine, he hasn’t given up on a dream to share the unique and distinctive character of our grapes and winemaking traditions.

We look forward to seeing how these darling rows mature!
