We are seeking a reliable, motivated Farm Crew Member to assist with vegetable, flower, and poultry production. This part-time position is a hands-on, physically active role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, caring for animals, and learning about diversified farming systems.

Some duties include:
Greenhouse work including seeding trays, watering, transplanting crops, harvesting vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers.
Washing, packing of produce and flowers for market and wholesale
Weeding (by hand and with tools), cultivation, pest management, and bed prep.
Care of vineyard and orchard fruit trees.

Daily care of egg layers, meat birds, and turkeys.
Feeding, watering, and monitoring flock health. Moving portable poultry housing and fencing. Collecting, cleaning, and packing eggs
Assisting with brooding and processing of meat birds

General Farm Duties, such as safe operation of farm machinery and hand tools, as well as general farm upkeep and seasonal projects

This is our last weekend of season 5 at the farm. What started as a road side vegetable stand has turned into a hub of poultry, vegetables, gifts, and of course, eggs for our community. We honestly had no idea what we were doing when we started, but we’ve learned a lot, and this year, we have a farmer on board with 14 seasons under her belt. We’ve transitioned to growing specialty vegetables for restaurants and caterers, to making sure the farm stand has a wide range of options, and to making sure that you have a good experience every time you come in.

Next year, we have even bigger plans. More on that soon.

So stock up on Cornish hens, beef, jams, and eggs before we close the doors tomorrow.

This year, we are partnering with Stine Orchard to offer you delicious sides, pies, and baked goods. We are offering both sweet pies (apple, pumpkin, cherry, blueberry, raspberry) and savory pot pies (chicken, beef, or a vegan vegetable). For sides, you can choose from apple sausage stuffing with Red Hen bread, Savory Herb gravy, squash-cider soup, and a harvest salad with native squash, apples, and wild rice. Baked good offerings include dinner rolls, sticky buns, and cookie trays featuring 18 assorted choc chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, and molasses cookies. You can preorder them now through November 19th. There will be no late orders accepted, so make sure you place your order before then. These orders can be picked up with your turkey on November 23rd, or on the 24th and 25th.
