HAY Y'ALL! 🌾 We need your (HAY)lp.

This summer's drought dried up our pastures early, so we had to start buying hay at winter-level amounts back in July — months before we normally would. That drained the budget we count on to get everyone through the cold months.

Now our supplier says prices are climbing too, thanks to the wider economic squeeze and hay supply getting tighter across the region.

And this year we welcomed 4 rescued lambs into the family — which we'd do again in a heartbeat, but it also means more hay, every single day, from here on out.

Every bale helps us catch back up before winter hits. 🧡

Turner will always be my baby. He jumped from a transport truck while on the way to factory farm. He’s at the weight now that would have sent to him slaughter. He’s just 6 months old. Still a baby. Turner was only 18 pounds when he jumped. Pigs can live 12-15 years. Not 6 months! Turner is safe now but billions like him are needlessly tortured and slaughtered every year.
