Good luck to Jeb and the Golden Corral #27 Chevrolet at today’s inaugural race on Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.
As a special thank you to our hosts for today’s race, this military-inspired paint scheme was designed in part by a Senior Executive, and proud Navy veteran here at Golden Corral, to honor both the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps communities, as well as the 3 military philanthropic partners we work with to support all U.S. Military and their families.
Want a closer look at Golden Corral Chevrolet’s honorees?
The driver’s side primarily honors the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Aviation communities and the ships they operate from, including:
USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), the Navy’s newest aircraft carrier
USS Wasp (LHD-1), once captained by our Senior Executive’s late father
H-60 Seahawk helicopter, flown by our Senior Executive’s brother and father
The passenger side primarily honors the Surface Warfare community, including:
USS San Diego (LPD-22) to thank our race’s host city and
USS Philippine Sea (CG-58), the recently decommissioned ship that our Senior Executive once served on
The deck lid primarily honors U.S. Navy SEALs, and a special thank you to a Golden Corral Board Member’s 2 sons who served as U.S. Navy SEALs.
The TV panel primarily honors the submarine community, featuring the newest fast-attack submarine USS Idaho (SSN-799), and Golden Corral’s 3 military philanthropic partners Disabled American Veterans, Camp Corral, and Project Healing Waters.
Thank you to all U.S. Military and their families for your service & sacrifice, and thanks for making us proud with today’s special tribute, JebBurtonRacing!
