! Now Hiring: Equine Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician !
Dr. Emily is seeking a motivated, dependable Equine Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join Balanced Equine!
This position involves working directly with horses and clients in a field setting. Equine handling experience is required, experience in the veterinary field is not. Dr. Emily is willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and comfortable around horses.
Responsibilities include:�• Safe handling and restraint of horses�• Assisting with veterinary examinations and procedures�• Preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies�• Stocking and organizing the veterinary truck�• Cleaning and disinfecting equipment�• Client communication and scheduling assistance�• General support of daily veterinary operations
Qualifications:�• Comfortable working around horses�• Strong communication and customer service skills�• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions�• Organized, reliable, and self-motivated�• Veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience is a plus�• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
This position is currently a part-time position and pay is based upon experience.
