Tour of what’s been happening around here. Strip grazing stockpile, letting the pigs sow phosphorus on a poor piece of pasture and adding Moe the Nubian Billy to the dairy flock. Definitely diverse. Or is it chaos? Sometimes ya gotta wonder🤠.

Massive photo dump - this is what happens when we don’t post something for a while 🙃. We had great weather for our August field day, made some time for fair weather horseback riding & cattle checking, starting fall calving, and got the bulls pulled.

Because square bales can only be done when temperatures are in the 90’s or above. Super thankful for our youngest two making up our crew. Straw is baled, picked up and put in the barn. 💪🏻

It has begun…first calf of the spring season. Welcome baby girl “NO1” - this certainly would be an interesting registered name 😜 (2025 is year N); hubby had to point this out - so it is officially ‘dad joked’ 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤪. More are looking close - should be busy these next couple of weeks 😃.

Happy Sunday. Today was a great day for a ride! Surveyed some of the pastures, checked on the rye/winter wheat, inspected fence and ride through the cows too 🤠.

Farming can certainly change one’s ideas…on Valentine’s Day hubby ordered me, not 1, but 2, new rings - but they wouldn’t come in until Monday. Didn’t hear anything on Monday, but Tuesday - I ended up having to go to town to pick them up…Ta, Da - Me and my 2 new rings…🙃 …last Thursday night he had to call for air & air compressor just to get it home…so, no, these large, black beauties weren’t a complete surprise. They just had some unique timing 😘 …on the plus side, they didn’t go out a couple years ago when you couldn’t hardly find them.
