It is with great sadness that we are officially closing our doors and stopping all sales/production as of December 14th, 2022. Many of you know our journey that started in 2018. We are incredibly thankful for all the support the community and our customers have given us over the years. We have always been very proud of our product and still believe it is the future of farming. On behalf of the owners, I would like to thank all of our staff members that have made River City a success over the years. A special thank you to our previous farm managers, Chris Harris and Josh Clark for keeping the pumps running and the fish alive and to our marketing manager, Danielle (aka the Lettuce Lady) for her tireless commitment to the dream. Without all of your efforts, River City would never have achieved so much.
For those of you that don't have alot of personal experience with farming please know it is one of the hardest and most important jobs in this country. Through our journey we have had the good fortune to meet many of these hardworking local producers. Farmers work long days for minimal wages and they are the first and often biggest losers when the economy takes a hit. All that is to say, don't forget to thank a farmer and think about those people that are still working hard to grow your food when you visit the store next week.
Please forgive us for not having consistent farm stand hours going forward as we are working with limited staff and cannot predict when someone will be there to manage farm stand sales.
For those that may be interested, the farm/business is commercially listed and we ask that you go through normal realtor channels to request listing information.
