The Tindle’s spent this gorgeous day out prepping the land for the year!

Baby girl got her first little pedal tractor, stuck her feet in the grass for the first time. We got some wildflower mats down for the honey bees, and we put cages together for tomatoes!

We rolled up all the old fabric barrier from last year so we can till the land up for this years garden.

We are loving this sunshine and warm weather!!!

What better way to come back than to give you some snowmageddon comfort foods going down in our kitchen today…

I don’t follow any set recipe I just throw it together how I think it should be, so I’ll gove you a list of ingredients. The first thing is called camp stew. Our sweet neighbor brought this over to me when we came home from the hospital and now it’s a staple.

What I put in it:
Carrots
Celery
Onions
Cabbage
Black eyed peas
Fingerling potatoes (purple and gold)
Fire roasted tomatoes
Fire roasted beef broth
Vegetable broth
Smoked Turkey sausage. (I cook the sausage with the Old Bay seasoning first then add to the soup)
Louisiana Hot Sauce.

I can not wait until most of these ingredients are comibg straight from our garden. 🪏 🫜🥕🧅🥔🧄

Hi friends 🌱
It’s been a little quiet around here, and for the best reason ever—we welcomed our newest little blessing into the world 🤍 Becoming parents has been the sweetest (and busiest!) season, and now we’re slowly settling into life in our new norm, finding our rhythm one day at a time.

As we look ahead to spring, our hearts (and hands!) are ready to get back to what we love—digging in the dirt, planting seeds, and growing something beautiful from the ground up. This homesteading journey is still new to us, but it’s rooted in faith, family, and the simple joy of learning as we go.

We’re so excited to share this next chapter with you—new beginnings, a new home, a growing garden, and a growing family. Thank you for being here and cheering us on. Spring, we’re ready for you 🌼🌿

Honestly, I don’t even know how I’m still going… it’s been a long day! We had doctor’s appointments for Little Miss and dentist appointments. We finally got our containers for our tomatoes, so we packaged 24 of them and they are ready to go. I made a cheddar biscuit bubble up chicken pot pie. And somewhere in between packaging tomatoes and the bubble uo three jars of tomato soup were made!

We picked 36lbs of mostly cherry tomatoes today…. So yes I will be packaging and selling some so stay tuned!!!

This weekend was full of pregnancy nesting.. I put all my flours in mason jars and got them organized, one cabinet full of empty jars for all the up coming things I decide to make.

And picking almost 14lbs of peppers 🌶️ 🫑 And tomatoes 🍅 🫣🫣 looks like I’m making salsa tonight!

Three jars of salsa made! And I forgot that in my mayhem yesterdayI made elderberry and elderberry gummies.

It’s been a while since we posted.. you can say things have been a little hectic since we are expecting a ne farm hand in Jan! 🥰

The garden didn’t get all the plants or love we wanted this year but what we did plant is thriving !!! This is just from a week!

Our tomato plants are so big I have to crawl through them and as soon as the heat calms down they should be turning red and ready to pick. I think we will have hundreds of cherry tomatoes lol.
