Our story started in 2015 with the purchase of our beloved farm in Shelbyville, IN. We spent the next 15 months tearing the house down to the studs to rebuild it with a new floor plan and adding on an attached garage and wrap around front porch. We couldn't have done it without the help of my dad and our Amish friend, Alvin. During those 15 months, we juggled the sale of our previous home, a job c

hange, and moving into a 79' Nomad to live on premises. We finally moved in during March of 2016 and have spent the last 9 months finishing up odds and ends and formulating our plan for the next adventure. We hope you will follow along with us as we begin Blue Ridge Heritage Farms. We will raise heirloom vegetables that we will sell to restaurants and at farmers markets. We also are starting with heritage breed livestock-which will include chickens and sheep to start. We plan to have lots of eggs, produce, and fruit to start and will continue to grow! We have big plans for the future and hope to become your provider of tasty produce and delectable meats that you will not be able to find elsewhere!
