❗️Disclaimer- paint is my newest pen. So far I am getting great dark skin on the paints but I haven't hatched nearly as many as my other varieties yet. Paint chicks pictured are what I am hatching. Look at those dark feet! These hens lay like machines, I can't keep up, so I am letting some go earlier than I usually would. The black cockbird pictured by himself is dad to the paint babies. ❗️

Those stunning shades and unique patterns are eye-catching. However, I can't ignore the hard work reflected in my hands....

Let me introduce you to Clair Bear — she laid three eggs and then instantly went broody! 🥰 I had eggs in the incubator testing fertility, and honestly, I couldn’t have planned this better if I tried.

We now have 11 little babies hatched! 🐣 I took the three eggs she was sitting on (two are developing, so into the incubator they go) and tucked all the babies under her. She immediately started talking to them — it was the sweetest thing. 💕

I’ll be keeping an eye on her and the little nuggets, but I think we’re finally going to be okay. My heart is so full right now. 💛🐥

Our first fluffy superstar of the year is getting puffier by the second, and she's got some serious sass! This little ball of feathers is dodging and weaving around the older Bantam Polish crew, who just so happen to be twice her size - talk about cluckin' fearless! We've made some space at the farm for this stunning, and clearly confident, breed.
