I think anyone who has helped make feed on the farm during march and April has been dreaming of this day ever since. Concrete has been poured for storing corn silage this fall!

Wish, Vodka, Lady, and 1276 are ready to take their long awaited journey north, back to River Valley Dairy.

On Thursday morning we had a cow in the pasture who had calved overnight, but no calf to be found. I searched for a couple hours in the woods surrounding the pasture. I searched again on Saturday for a couple hours. Contacted a neighbor who has people riding her horses by here so they could watch out too. Looked again this morning, but figured predators had gotten it and left no trace. Today a lady riding horse found him! Across a corn field, in the woods. I think he's glad to be inside, wearing a calf jacket, and have a full belly! Hoping he got his first meal from mom before his long journey. Katie has named him, Tarzan.

This girls name has been Dog since she was a calf. Because she acts like a dog. So we found it fitting that she waited (5 days past her due date) until National Dog Day to have her puppy...er, calf. It's a boy!

Penny, Lady, Foxy, and Brandy had a "rough" week at the state fair and took a nice nap before their long journey home.
