We are very thankful to have the opportunity to tell the story of how our parents started farming and where we are now with three generations farming together side by side. Faith, family, and a whole lot of hard work 🤍

👨‍🌾🌽 Farmer of the Week 🌽👨‍🌾

This week we’re celebrating Brian Schipper!

Brian has been a valued member of the DeGroote Century Farms team for the past two years. He’s our go-to operator when it comes to running an excavator or dozer. Whether he’s shaping waterways, cleaning up fence lines, or moving dirt with incredible precision, Brian takes pride in his work and it shows. If you’ve admired a beautiful fence line or a perfectly finished waterway in one of our fields, there’s a good chance Brian was the one behind it!

Brian’s favorite meal on the farm is lasagna, and one of his favorite memories was at the end of his first season when he saw our annual team photo and realized just how many people work together to keep our farm running. It’s a reminder that every person plays an important role in what we do.

Brian, we’re thankful to have you as part of the DeGroote Century Farms family. Your skill, farming knowledge, strong work ethic, and positive attitude make a difference every single day. We appreciate all you do and look forward to many more years working together!

A few of our guys helped the City of Shell Rock set up for the 4th of July Celebration. If you haven’t been to Shell Rock on the 4th you definitely need to check it out. Amazing fireworks, a wonderful parade, and lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family. We are proud to support such a great event! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

I asked these 5 gentlemen to pop into the studio for a quick and I mean QUICK photo. They are from Degroote Century Farms and were there to help set up in downtown Shell Rock for the Shell Rock 4th of July Celebration. Thanks guys!

👨‍🌾🌽 Farmer of the Week 🌽👨‍🌾

This week we are celebrating Colton DeGroote as our Farmer of the Week! Colton has been an important part of our farming team for the past 7 years.

Colton plays a key role in our daily operations and is always willing to jump in wherever he is needed. From running the combine during harvest and planting corn in the spring to driving the sprayer, fixing equipment, and helping with the cattle, Colton brings a great attitude to every job.

His ability to operate equipment, troubleshoot problems, and lend a hand wherever needed makes him a valuable part of our team. He’s also very talented with the camera and we always enjoy his beautiful photos of Iowa farm life. 🐮🌅

Colton’s favorite farm meal is Lisa’s Reuben, and his favorite memory on the farm is the day Landon got greased. 😆🧰 💧

Thank you, Colton, for the many seasons of hard work and dedication you’ve given to DeGroote Century Farms. We appreciate everything you do to help keep this farm moving in the right direction, and we’re grateful to have you as part of our team! 🌽🚜

🇺🇸 A morning we won’t soon forget! 🇺🇸

Our family was honored to host a pit stop for the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade this morning. Over 350 tractors are making their way across Iowa on this route, bringing together generations of farmers, tractor enthusiasts, and friends from across multiple states.

It was a joy to welcome such a wonderful group of people and see so many beautiful tractors rolling through our farm. Events like this celebrate the history, hard work, and traditions that make agriculture so special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by — we were grateful to be a small part of this incredible Iowa tradition! 🚜🇺🇸 . Parkersburg, IA Historical Society
