A few of our guys helped the City of Shell Rock set up for the 4th of July Celebration. If you haven’t been to Shell Rock on the 4th you definitely need to check it out. Amazing fireworks, a wonderful parade, and lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family. We are proud to support such a great event! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

👨‍🌾🌽 Farmer of the Week 🌽👨‍🌾

This week we are celebrating Colton DeGroote as our Farmer of the Week! Colton has been an important part of our farming team for the past 7 years.

Colton plays a key role in our daily operations and is always willing to jump in wherever he is needed. From running the combine during harvest and planting corn in the spring to driving the sprayer, fixing equipment, and helping with the cattle, Colton brings a great attitude to every job.

His ability to operate equipment, troubleshoot problems, and lend a hand wherever needed makes him a valuable part of our team. He’s also very talented with the camera and we always enjoy his beautiful photos of Iowa farm life. 🐮🌅

Colton’s favorite farm meal is Lisa’s Reuben, and his favorite memory on the farm is the day Landon got greased. 😆🧰 💧

🇺🇸 A morning we won’t soon forget! 🇺🇸

Our family was honored to host a pit stop for the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade this morning. Over 350 tractors are making their way across Iowa on this route, bringing together generations of farmers, tractor enthusiasts, and friends from across multiple states.

It was a joy to welcome such a wonderful group of people and see so many beautiful tractors rolling through our farm. Events like this celebrate the history, hard work, and traditions that make agriculture so special.

👨‍🌾🌽 Farmer of the Week 🌽👨‍🌾

This week we are proud to recognize Terry Nielsen as our Farmer of the Week! Terry has been a key part of DeGroote Farms for the past 19 years.

Terry is someone everyone looks up to, especially the younger generation learning the ropes. His big heart, strong work ethic, and wealth of farming knowledge have earned the respect of everyone he works with.

Over the years, many stories have been told about just how tough Terry is — some even say he’s the strongest man on the farm! We may need to set up an arm wrestling match with Duane to finally settle the debate 💪🏼💪🏼

Terry’s favorite farm meal is fried chicken, and one of his favorite farm memories is running a spark plug wire from the engine to the seat of Clint’s pickup and watching Clint bounce around the cab! 🧨 😂

Thank you, Terry, for keeping us all moving in the right direction. We appreciate your hard work, dedication, and the many years you’ve poured into DeGroote Farms! We couldn’t do it without you!
