Happy Sunday! Rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. LOL. We are still alive and well. And we love our community. Yes, who we may look like we are empty and dormant, however, we know the need is great and a lot of people have been using our pantry. Unfortunately, we have also heard let us select few or even one takes everything out of the pantry. We cannot stop this from happening however this is also why we do not fill the pantry to capacity every single time. You can donate anytime. Please adhere to the rules that are posted on the pantry. If you would like to donate to our reserve so that our admin can restock as well, please order from our Amazon wish list below. You can also message us directly and make arrange arrangements with our admin to drop off items for our reserve. 182 Coram Ave, Shelton. In the parking lot of the Church Of The Good Shepherd/Immanuel St. James Chapel and the Good Stuff Thrift Shop is next door! Also, our community garden in the backyard of the thrift shop is growing it. We will keep you updated as to when harvest time is coming.

Just a friendly reminder that our pantry is for food and personal hygiene items only, NOT for books. The books have been taken over to the Good Stuff Thrift Shop. Please continue to donate shelf-stable and non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. There is currently a loaf of bread and a bag of potatoes in the pantry. Anyone who wants them has until 11:15 this morning to take them or they will be thrown out. There is a sign on the door that says we don’t not accept fresh food. We are trying to give someone a chance to grab them. Please grab them and in the future, please read and follow the instructions on the pantry door. Thank you!!! 182 Coram Ave, Shelton.

Happy Spring! Our reserve is almost completely empty so now would be a great time to donate! You can donate directly to the pantry (please read signs before donating!), order through our Amazon wish list or order through Wal-Mart or another store that offers shipping. Please message us for donation ideas and address (it's not the pantry or the church!). In the parking lot of the Church Of The Good Shepherd/Immanuel St. James Chapel and the Good Stuff Thrift Shop is next door. We're located at 182 Coram Ave., Shelton. Again, please do not use this address to ship donations.

Hi friends!! Happy Monday!! We have a few pantry housekeeping rules to remind our community. Please NO fresh food. We found a bag of potatoes and squash in the pantry yesterday morning as well as expired food. They were all removed. There are signs inside and outside the pantry that mention this. We don't know when they were put in so we can't vouch for their freshness. Please, for the health and safety of everyone that visits the pantry, please follow the rules. Yes, we know, we're mean and unfair when it comes to our rules, but this is how we run our pantry. Also, if you order from our Amazon wish list, please use the default address where your donations will be sent. And if you are going to send something from Amazon that is not on our list, please contact the admin through a PM to get the address. There were two boxes shipped to the Church Of The Good Shepherd/Immanuel St. James Chapel and we only knew of these boxes by chance and the kindness of a neighbor. We don't know if there were more. The church and the pantry are not staffed 24-7. Thank you for all of your help! 182 Coram Ave., Shelton.

We want to thank everyone for donating either directly to the pantry or through our Amazon wishlist. But we’ve all been receiving more than good food. Over the past couple days, the admin has found open packages of pasta, flour and homemade pasta sauce. Today’s inspection revealed a pair of shoes. While we understand that some members of our community are trying to help out but these items are NOT allowed in the pantry. The shoes were taken to the Good Stuff Thrift Shop and the food was thrown out. We have also heard from the Church Of The Good Shepherd/Immanuel St. James Chapel (where the pantry is housed) that empty boxes are being left in and under the pantry. This is a BYOB (bring your own bag/box) pantry and is strictly limited to non-perishable food and personal hygiene products. And leaving boxes is disrespectful to the pantry and those that visit it. This is NOT a dump. We need everyone to adhere to the rules on the pantry (right side door) and treat it with love and dignity, which many of our visitors should also be given. We also need to respect the church and its property. Failure to do may result in closing the pantry. Please help us and if you see anything that is not supposed to be in or around the pantry, please remove it. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. 182 Coram Ave., Shelton.
