We realized it had been a LONG time since we posted, but fear not. We have been busy!

A lot of projects going on right now will set us up to expand a lot in the next growing season. Were working on renovating some existing buildings to give us room for mushrooms and some passion projects, our multi-generational greenhouse project (that my parents picked up Montana in the late 1980s and has since traveled across multiple moves to end up here in Washington), and a greatly expanded maintenance and storage facility.

On the more Micro level, here is a picture of some carrots we pulled today (bottle of Cholula for scale). We leave our biennial roots in the ground until we need them, and when we haven't had a good frost to drop the soil temps, they can get HUGE.

We just got back from a few days up in Canada. Got some inspiration at Butchart gardens and some decompression done up in Vancouver.

Ahh, blackberry season!

It's a love/ hate relationship. Most of the year it's all-out war keeping them contained, but for the couple of weeks that the picking is good, they're hard to beat.

The first round went into some jam and mead

We may not be there biggest fans of the heat, but the peppers are loving it!Here's a few more of the varieties we grow.

One of our funnest looking peppers, the Mad Hatter. Towards the lower end of our heat range at 500 to 1000 scoville. It turns bell shaped and is supposed to look like a hat.

Well, we can't go a full year without buying at least SOME new chicks. For our egg buyers, we'll be adding white, cream/yellow, grey, and dark speckled brown to the mix when these (hopefully) gals start laying.

Feels good to be done with hay (until planting time anyway). Thanks to all our customers for buying from us!
