I love that they think I’m being cruel yet they have no other ACTUAL ideas on real ways to get rid of the rodents. All they can manage is to call me names and spout nonsense.

I absolutely hate having to unalive anything. This brings me zero joy. I do HAVE to protect my family, my pets, my livestock and my property. Rats carry soooo many diseases. They chew wiring and cause fires. They destroy structures, they make huge messes, they eat feed that we have spent hard earned money on. I have tried other method, this is the most effective. 🤷‍♀️ I’m sorry that others don’t like it. I challenge them to give me real ways to get rid of them. Ways that do not include a millions steps that I do not have time for. Ways that do not include dumping the problem onto someone else’s property, ways that do not include dumping poison out. I have barn cats, 7 to be exact and they love to kill rats and mice but they can’t get them all. My feed is already secured well.

There is zero reason to wish death on another HUMAN simply because you don’t agree. There is the option to keep scrolling.

Edited to add: I get zero enjoyment out of getting rid of the rats but…. The health and safety of my family, pets and livestock is my priority. We are dealing with an infestation of these nasty buggers who have decided to move in under my barn. They need to be dealt with! We have 7 barn cats who often deal with them, and have tried snap traps in the past but they are not efficient.

As much as I wish we didn’t have this issue, anytime you have feed and livestock you’re gonna deal with rats 🐀 and mice 🐁.

This trap has been THE best investment ever!! We don’t manage to catch some everyday but we do catch at least a few every week. Last night we set the record for the most caught at one time. 26!!!!! 😳😳😳 it’s not a cheap trap but it is soooooo worth the money!!

Meet our newest herd sire. Rosebay Ridge HB Theo, Co-owned with Bella Vitorio Homestead. We are looking forward to some beautiful kids from Theo. He is the sire of our little Irish Coffee.

Got the official photos from Dylann Cubbage Photography, from The Summer Jam Show this past weekend. We only took 2 does and while Cafe Au Lait did not want to behave and participate in the commercial show thankfully Berta Mae's Boers Sumatra did! Sumatra placed 5th and 7th out of a class of 17 on Saturday and 8th out of a class of 15 on Sunday. We are proud of both girls! Huge thanks to Mykah Smith and her fiance Brian Wimer for all their help!

Also a huge thanks to Dry Run Farm for allowing us to purchase Cafe Au Lait for our breeding program! Hopefully her next show will go better.
