I guess they were coming back from the bar??

Have you ever had central dispatch call you at 1:00 a.m. in the morning to tell you that the state police are thinking your cows might be out.

Thankfully they were safe. At first I thought a family member was hurt and I was drilling my teenager if they got into any trouble they didn't tell me about. 😆

Fun times ranching. Get cows, sure it will be easy.

This morning I found out my Bull converted to being a Hasidic Jew. ✡️

I asked him how he was doing and he said,

Conspiracy or Market demand?

Baby bottle calves last year were about 50 to $75 each at an auction. Less of you bought them directly from a dairy. We're talking about newborn to 3 days old calves.

This year they're going for anywhere from 500 to 1000! Crazy.

Some say it's due to market demand because there is this influx of people wanting to raise their own meat due to the high cost of meat in the grocery store.

Some say it's a government conspiracy making everything expensive so we can't raise our own food and are forced to buy from corporations and grocery stores.

Thoughts.

Sadly. I'm looking for geese eggs or adults.

I started the season with 52 birds I've worked on for over 3 years. Thanks to the environment I now have only 6 left. 😢
