Everyone is out on pasture now (better late than never I guess)! We also have a new daily egg record of 89 ( from 82). It's crazy because the first day out in pasture egg production has always dropped from the stress of first moving. Plus it was 104 degrees too. They're all happy especially today with a cold front moving through, it's a high of 71 and feels so good!

Little over three tenths of rain and much cooler temps last night! The high winds and hail missed us. The air conditioner finally got a break. We're under another flood watch today so hoping we get another good rain before we go back to high 90s 😭

Bragging/ shout out post to the chickens this past weekend. I for sure thought our egg production would drastically drop from the record heat. Nope, they maintained the 75+ a day (82 being the daily record). They got a lot of frozen treats, electrolytes, and cold water all weekend. We set a new record here in Shepherd with 111 or 112, haven't seen the official number yet. The temperatures ended up being hotter than this graphic. Miles City ended up being 115, two degrees away from the state record of 117. Guess mother nature had to make up for the no triple digit temperatures last year.
