This past weekend we tackled one of the more challenging projects of my career - not because of the quantity of work or the technicality, but because our client had the strongest opinions about colors, tones, structure, and species... Of anyone that we've ever worked with.
Girl - we hear you.
And if this is you... Working with a boutique luxury floral designer is probably the way you want to go. These clients demand attention, responsiveness, and all the extra TLC like a courtesy bouquet check video the night before. In this case the bride had requested chocolate oncidiums which arrived on the plant less than satisfactory - we had the standard yellow on order just in case , and turns out ... The bride hated the yellow and the purple together.
And that is OKAY!
I made some adjustments - cried a little - and sent a new video but really recommended she keep the gold toned butterfly ranunculus in just to really pull some colors through... And decided that a single chocolate oncidium could probably slip in without any issue. God love a husband check! At delivery we had happy tears, and no unhappy bride.
Working at our scale is a luxury, and we're taking the time to provide this level of service to our clients because it really does matter.
But ps... Would you have kept the yellow oncidiums in?
