Forgot to post the mini market is OPEN! for one of the last times! Swing by and stock up on milk, and fall dry goods!
These are the very last cheesecakes, we won't be opening anymore.
We do have some fresh Acorn & Oven this week and tons of milk!
We will not be restocking any dry goods after the fall freshies come in.

Stop by and experience the mini market a few more times before it's gone ❤️ (see previous post)

2 herds available:

Alpines I believe have a home.

Sannen + Sannen/Nigerian Dawrf mix I'll have either a herd of 5 of 7 available. This is the perfect starter herd as 6 of them were born here. They are tame, calm, and friendly. I have no issues with them whatsoever. I'd like for them to all go together. 4 will be ready to breed this fall, 3 could be but I let them wait another year personally.

I'll get better photos of all 7, if you want a starter herd this is perfect for you. They provide a lot of milk and are EASY to milk. I never even put them in a milk stanchion. However I do have one and would throw it in for free. This will help you do milking, hoof care, and anything else.

DM for info if interested.

I'll be keeping my Nigerian Dwarf herd.

✨ The end of an era ✨

We have a very important update to share with the farm fam:

After SIX AMAZING YEARS of Proctor Lane Patch & Parlor Homestead farm events we want to let you know that after this fall our farm will be closed to the public and be a private property farm.

We want to thank the community for the love, support and friends turned family in these past six years.

We opened to the public when the world shut down in 2020. A time that was horrible for a lot of people we were able to be a place to come and enjoy outside activities, see and interact with the animals, and participate in safe events.

We very quickly grew and barn by barn we cleaned it out and hosted events. So. Many. Events! And we absolutely loved doing it! Just the events off the top of my head:

🐐 Goat yoga
🧹 Witches night out
🎃 Pumpkin festival! Private family hayrides to the patch with games and catering!
🍂 SO MANY PUBLIC FALL MARKETS
🛍️ Hosted public craft fairs
🎄 So many Christmas markets!
🐖 Kids private farm tours
☕ Tea parties!
🎨 Craft parties!
🐾 Kids events! Kids clubs! Kids paint parties! Kids theme read alouds! Kids summer camp and so much more!
🚌 School field trips!
❤️ We hosted church field trips and private church outing events!
🎉 Private parties and barn rentals!
🎁 Christmas paint parties!
📸 So many photo sessions!
🎄 Farm fresh wreath making
🍅 Farmers markets
🛍️ Craft shows
🍦 Ice cream socials
So many I can't even think of!

We can say with certainty that we did it right and provided amazing events to our customers! We had wreath making classes in 20⁰ weather and goat yoga in 100⁰. We went all out with every single event. We have made life long friends out at the barn. We've had strangers become our biggest cheerleaders and supporters! We've been able to support multiple missions and locals with collections, events, and support.

We were able to collaborate with over 100 local businesses!

Our busiest year we had an event EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Sometimes multiple!

We started this journey with a 5 year plan and a whole lot of goals. I'm happy to report that we have checked off every single one! I was able to quit my salary job and spend the young years home with my son until he went to school. We have successfully learned how to raise all of our own chicken, pork, turkey and beef.

We grew an amazing pumpkin patch for a couple years. We figured out we aren't crop farmers but prefer ranching 😂

We have had thousands of people on our farm over the past 6 years. We started an amazing little self serve on farm market that people come back to every weekend and we could never show you how much we appreciate you!

So what comes next? For the time being we will still have our mini market. We won't be placing anymore dry goods orders. After fall the fridges will move out and we will become a normal private property farm. ❤️ Our page will stay the same but the content will change. We will still be here and still have 100 ideas a day, but maybe not act on them all 😂

These photos are 80 very random photos, out of THOUSANDS! from the first events to the biggest and best events! So much growth! There are so many more and it's emotional to look through them all.

We've learned, we've grown, we've given it 100%. If you've ever worked in hospitality and particularly on your home property where you truly never get a break then you will completely understand the need to step back and have a break. ❤️ It's been a more than full time job for us all the past 6 years.

If you're in the area swing by the mini market one, or a couple, last times! Share your favorite memories below! And we will be sure to stay in touch on here, as well as around town. We love you all so much!!

We will still have egg and animal sales, We'll just be operating much differently.

If you've read this far know that you're appreciated and we can't thank you enough!

Much love,
Proctor Lane Patch & Parlor
