Who knows what kind of propaganda is going on out there in the BEEF market right now. Some higher ups realized that the cattle market was finally getting to where it should be and farmers and ranchers were managing to pay for parts and fuel finally. So they decided to “open up the boarder”. From the actual numbers that I’ve heard being floated around inside the industry, the “new” foreign supply isn’t enough to impact much of anything. It definitely sheds some red flags on the amount of BLM wild horses that were recently gathered up….. and who purchased those….where are they now….where did some of this imported beef suddenly come from….questions!!!

Here’s what I do know “it’s a short list”.
-Tons of calls and messages just today about our meat and availability of livestock. Yes our meat is raised here.
-Our meat is lean and very healthy.
-We have majority of cuts in stock with the exception of some steaks and are low on what steak cuts are available.
-We have ground, roast, brisket, rib racks, flat irons available for immediate pick up.
-We have had orders put in for half a beef on the next processing date.
-Expected pick up from the processor will be the end of September.
-Expected cost for a half is $2,000-$2,200.
-Expected packaged take home on a half will be 180-200 pounds.
-We have livestock available if you have the land and want to start breeding your own.
-I’ve got a couple of Ohio customers looking to have stock delivered in the near future. Got a little room left on the trailer if anyone up that way is interested in anything.

Barely missed this classy looking heifer making her entrance into the world this afternoon. She is just the second calf out of this young cow. Hopefully we have a lot more ahead of us! The big black bull in the pictures is the sire BBBF STONEWALL. He is a purebred Beefalo and is making some nice calves!

Mr Scooter is available for immediate service on your herd! Easy going “36% bison” purebred Beefalo bull. He has lots of calves on the ground over the last few years. He is polled. He is a moderate size bull averaging around 1,300 pounds making him a good all around choice for heifers as well. He is a 7 year old and with the Beefalo breed that puts him roughly at a middle age bull and still in his prime. He goes back to a couple of National Grand Champion Beefalo bulls with CaveMan and Bourbon showing up on his paperwork. He is registered.

As I was working on taking some pictures of some others this evening for orders of heifers and bulls that have came in the last few weeks, this guy kept walking in front of me. He is the last calf that we got out of one of our high production cows. She was high percentage Beefalo as well. This guy will be in the 36% Bison range. Still has a ton of growing to do but with his genetics he should catch up one day.

Easy going Purebred bull. Horns are included. Dehorn him if you prefer once you get him. He has the color that people seem to prefer and it’s been passed on for a few generations so there’s a good chance for black calves. His sire and dam were both polled but thanks to those Beefalo genes we got horns on this one. He is almost 2 years old and is in the 700 pound ballpark.

Horns and size are being taken into consideration on the number of Ben Franklins. Twenty Ben Franklins puts him on your trailer in the 40165 zip code. Will include a filled out application for registration with the Beefalo Association. If preferred we can send the registration application off for you for an additional Ben Franklin.

Been going through the freezer’s a lot since we picked up more of our Beefalo beef from the processor this week. Found a couple more pre-orders that people ordered after 2 AM and then never picked up. We are offering them at a bit of a discount. We also have pork products back in stock.

Had an order not get picked up. No response from the person that ordered. So you can pick it up at a bit of a discount now if you’d like.

-Larger brisket “almost 9 pounds”
-2 roast that average almost 3 pounds each
-10 pounds of ground

Total was $256. If picked up on April 2nd or 3rd you can have it for $225.

Going to pick up meat from the processor and need to get it out of the way.
