Yesterday we took advantage of the warm day and finally got the evaporator pans pressure washed. Hopefully we can start working in the woods on lines next week.

Local folks, our daughter is doing a fund raiser for FFA. She only has 2 fund raisers a year and she needs to raise money to help pay for going to the state FFA convention this year and next year to the National Convention. She has 8oz. Cheese Curds @ $6 each. Flavors available are Plain, Dilly Garlic, Garlic and Herb, Buffalo Wing, Loaded Baked Potato, Onion and Pepper, and Pizza.
Apples available are Macintosh, Cortland, Empire, and Galas at $10 per peck, $16 per ½ bushel, and $36 per bushel.
Honeycrisp apples are available $20 for a peck.
Apple c***r is $5 for a half gallon or $8 for a gallon.
Orders have to be in by Thursday at 2 PM!! Everything will be in next week. Thank you!!!

When Marks family came up with a name for the farm, they chose Schmidt’s Sunny Slope Farm. While I’d love to say its namesake came from the sunny slope that gets lit up just a few times a year while everything else in sight is in shadows, I’d be lying. It actually comes from a registered Beagle dog that had sunny slope in its name. More about how the Scattered Maples name came about some other time.

Thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to celebrate our 80th anniversary with the hay ride and pumpkin pick! We had a great time showing off our farm and spending some time with all of you. We are hoping to continue doing it next year as well. Please share any feedback or ideas for next year and any pictures you may have taken.
