Well, my two youngest kiddos and I managed to harvest over 400 garlic bulbs! It was a toasty one, but these things were definitely ready.

The next step is to let these cure for 2-4 weeks. At that time I will trim the stalks and put them into bundles. We will offer them at a price per pound that will be determined at a later time.

Be sure to follow and turn on notifications to see when the garlic is available! We will have fresh produce soon too!

Go to Google. Type in your farm or business name and see if Google AI gets it right. Ours was absolutely accurate, but I imagine there could be some hilarious hiccups! Search and post yours below!

I was spending some time weeding in the garden yesterday before it got too hot. It was peaceful and quiet so lots of time for reflection and talking with the Lord.

I tried something new with onions this year. First, we grew candy onions. Secondly, I tried the technique referred to as “spooning” where you create a moat of sorts around the onion bulb exposing it above the dirt. The theory behind this practice is that it allows the onion bulb to grow bigger. Frankly, this is the best any batch of onions I’ve ever grown in all my years has looked.

However, the second picture is of a plant that I loathe. I know people plant it on purpose but it feels like a never-ending battle trying to keep these things from overtaking my plants. This plant is a vining flower, that albeit beautiful, is destructive. It’s Morning Glory.

What is one plant that you refuse to grow?

Did you know that we still offer our drop-in farm and pet sitting services?

When the farmer needs a break, we are here to help! I have recently had the honor of helping a dear friend and fellow farmer with their meat and dairy goat farm.

I can now add milking to my list of skills and I could not be more thrilled! This pic is one of our very own Nigerian Dwarf does. I swear that goats have some of the most amazing personalities. They are literally lawn puppies!

Feel free to contact us with any farm or pet sitting needs. We can handle everything from the tiny quail to large horses and everything in between. No critter is too big or too small for us!

Getting back into some of the things that make my heart happy. I haven’t taken time the last year or so to focus on my herbs and herbal remedies. I’m being more intentional about having these things on hand and working to formulate some new products for everyone. My happy place is with plants, and in my kitchen!

Organically grown music garlic scapes! We will have plenty of garlic available later this summer as well but the garlic scapes are the flowering parts of the garlic plant. We remove these to encourage larger bulb growth. The beauty of this removal is the the scapes are edible as well!

Chop them to add to dishes calling for garlic. Make a garlic scape pesto. Make a garlic scape compound butter. Finely chop and freeze for later use. The options are endless!

We have way more than I can process or use just for us. Offering bundles of 5 garlic scapes for $2.

Message me to order yours today!

I had several extra gallons of milk that needed to be used. Here at Faithful Harvest Farms, we do not like waste so I spent yesterday turning 4 gallons of milk into other products.

Here is the breakdown:
4.25lbs fresh mozzarella
2.25 gallons of whey
24oz fresh ricotta (still hanging to dry out of frame)

Most of this will be put into the freezer for use at a later time. I actually grate the cheese and flash freeze it on a tray. Then put it into freezer safe bags so that I can pull out and use exactly what I need when I need it.
