Please let me know if I have missed anyone that has sent me info on fair results. Trying to get caught up from the last month!!
Congrats to all of you on a job well done. It is fun to see your passion grow thru these projects.
Breeding season was wrapping up while Fair and State Fair was going on. We are excited for ultrasound in the next couple months.
Unfortunately we lost Whistle, the Billy, but we retained many daughters over the last few years. His strengths outweighed his weakness and the maternal piece he stamped his daughter's with was strong.
In replacing Whistle we knew we needed to improve the top line at the shoulders and blow these kids apart and give them a bigger b***y. We stepped out to purchase a Game of Thrones son from Miller Boer Goats. The genetics, Believe in Me x KL3051 (Daddy Issues x Whistle).
He is powerful, massive chested, with a smooth top and transition over his rack, b***y.....yes I said b***y. Massive rack, foot and bone (I dont think Calving ease is high so wish us luck).
Known as Gamer around here, his job was all the does age 3 and up with genetics from Rabel's, Smith Show Stock, Bounds and Wheeler, S&S. Daughters by Yellowstone Soldier boy, pulse rider, warning tap, Grey Goose and Black Jack.
The clean up man, Grey Goose. Our steady eddy purebred with Foot and bone that puts some power on kids with good growth. Yes I said purebred, Grey Goose is crossed into the show world often. We didn't use him a ton last year as Whistle did his job extremely well. Goose's son just reserved Big Horn County market goat show with Renaka Lauhoff. He was the maternal grand sire of Johnson County Grand champion market goat with Tristan King.
Now last but not least, we purchased a colored up Soldier Boy bred Billy from Chase Taylor for the yearling does. We will still have color and Soldier Boy to boot. We love a little Soldier Boy!!
We are excited and hope you will be too!!!
The heat seemed to affect our natural breeding cycle but exposure is still for middle of December to mid January.
Thank you for supporting us in 2026.
