🎃 WE HAVE A SQUASH WINNER! 🥩

Our Giant Blue Hubbard Squash Guessing Contest has come to an end, and we had a fantastic turnout! Thank you to everyone who stopped in, made a guess, and helped make this little contest so much fun.

Congratulations to our winner! 🎉 She came closest to guessing the weight (.32lbs off) of this massive locally grown Blue Hubbard squash and earned 20% OFF a steak of her choice from our meat case! 🥩🔥

We love finding fun ways to get our customers involved, and we especially love being able to showcase the incredible products grown by our local producers.

And judging by the participation, we may just have to do another one of these soon… 👀

🍂 Fresh & Local Squash Has Arrived! 🎃

We just got a beautiful delivery of locally grown Red Kuri and Blue Hubbard squash, and these are some seriously good winter squash!

If you haven’t cooked with them before, you’re in for a treat. Red Kuri has a naturally sweet, nutty flavor and a creamy texture—and the thin skin is actually edible! Blue Hubbard is rich, smooth, and hearty, making it fantastic for soups, purées, and other comfort-food dishes.

A few of our favorite ways to use them:
🔥 Roast them with a little olive oil, salt & pepper
🥣 Turn them into a creamy squash soup
🍽️ Stuff & bake them
🌶️ Add them to chili, curries or grain bowls
🍁 Or simply roast them and serve them as a delicious fall side

And of course, buying these from a local producer helps keep our local food community strong. We’re proud to support the folks growing great food right here in our area.

We’re serving up hot, house-smoked BBQ for lunch, plus hot & ready dinner options that make it easy to take a delicious meal home on those busy nights when cooking just isn’t in the cards.

And remember — no order is too big! We offer take-away catering for family reunions, corporate lunches, weddings, parties, and any other event where you need to feed a crowd.
