We raise and finish all of our beef cattle on our farm in Indiana in a clean and stress free enviroment. We are proud of the quality of beef that We produce, and We are always striving to bring the best quality and natural beef to you at an affordable price! We raise all natural, grass fed beef, meaning we DO NOT use any steroids, implants or growth hormones. They run on lush green grass most of the year until it goes dormant. After that they are on full feed ( hay & grain we have grown ). That way we not only know where our cattle come from, we also know exactly what we are feeding them. As for the process, the goal weight is 1200lbs. at 1200lbs they are ready for the processor which we deliver for you for free. After we drop it off you will call the processor to discuss how you would like your meat cut and packaged. It takes about a week after We drop it off until the meat is ready for pick up. We use This Old Farm in Colfax, IN to do our processing. As for the cost, it is $2.10 a pound sold live weight. So $2.10 x 1200lbs = $2520 for the whole cow for example. Plus you will be responsible for the processing charges. We sell it by the whole, 1/2, or 1/4 of a beef
Please keep in mind the price will vary depending on the actual size of the beef. To make a long story short it works out to about $5.10 per pound of finished product. If you decide to buy a beef We require a non refundable deposit to lock down that beef for you. After I drop it off and we have a final weight we will know what the final price will be. We just ask that you have us paid in full before you pick up your beef. We accept check, cash, or credit card (2% fee will apply) and offer a 0% interest on a three month payment plan if you take a whole or half.
