Many people only see the glamorous side of this life. The cute farmstand, perfectly packaged products, the smiles we put on when we get to visit with you about our ranch but what they don't see is the reality of what happens behind the scenes, the really hard stuff. Yesterday's heat and humidity killed some of our largest broilers that were set to leave in about a week. This is small potatoes compared to what large commercial chicken houses deal with but it hurts our profitability all the same. So next time you complain about the price of meat please consider everything we have to go through to get food to your table that is clean, wholesome and home grown.
