Roast is still looking for a new home. Roast is featured in pictures below.

Roast is a Boer/LaMancha cross

We also have 3 other boys, and 1 girl, looking for homes.

Bottle babies born March 23. Going well on the lamb bar. 50% Boer, 37.5% LaMancha 12.5% Saanen, all disbudded except solid red buckling. The cream and white paint is a doeling, and the other 4 are bucklings (solid red, red with white spots, broken chamoisee with white belt, and brindle/black and white paint). CAE, CL and Johnes negative herd. Cupid’s kids have consistently reached 60-65 pounds by 10 weeks on free choice alfalfa hay and half a gallon of milk per kid per day. This group will need 2.5 gallons of whole milk each day to get that rate of growth. I put pro-bac-C in the milk twice per day for coccidiosis prevention. Can be ABGA registered 50%. Located in Sherwood Oregon.

SOLD

Boyd Farms is offering our ABGA registered Fullblood red and white paint Boer buck. He is disbudded and easy on fences, feeders and equipment unlike our previous Boer bucks. His kids are fast growing on just milk and alfalfa hay. His buck kids are frequently reaching 60-65 pounds by 10 weeks. We have only ever bred him to LaMancha does, usually yearlings. We have had zero kidding issues. Cupid’s kids are very muscular. Cupid along with the rest of the herd is tested negative for CAE. We have also tested the entire herd for CL and Johnes in past years and have always been negative. Cupid was collected this fall with Frozen Assets so we are offering him to another herd and will continue to use him via AI.
