After many conversations today, I wanted to provide clarity on the current situation.
The Nutrition Hangout has always been about more than a storefront.
Nearly six years ago, Emily Smith started The Nutrition Hangout with a vision of creating a place where people could find encouragement, support, community, and a reason to believe in themselves again. That vision is what made so many people fall in love with it, and it’s the same vision I hoped would continue for years to come as she entrusted me with the location.
With recent changes, I’ve realized there may be some confusion surrounding The Nutrition Hangout and its future. While I remain grateful for everyone who has been part of the journey, it’s important to clarify that The Nutrition Hangout and Corner Hangout are completely separate entities with different ownership, direction, and vision.
It’s also important for me to share that the recent changes were not decisions I made, nor was I given the opportunity to step back into an active role and help guide the future of The Nutrition Hangout before those changes took place. Had that opportunity been presented, I would have welcomed the conversation and carefully considered the path forward.
My heart has always been, and continues to be, serving people, building community, and helping others become healthier, stronger, and more confident versions of themselves. That mission has never changed.
I will always be grateful for the foundation Emily built, the relationships formed over the years, and every person who walked through those doors looking for support, friendship, or simply a brighter part of their day.
The Nutrition Hangout was built on community, and community will always matter more than a building, a menu, or a business decision. Thank you to everyone who has supported that mission and continues to carry it forward through our Maumelle location. ❤️
